Claims that Owings "took certain negroes by the name of Job, Richard, Annaley and her increase, and Hester and her increase, the proper negroes of the said Rinaldo and then unjustly detained against surities and pledges...by R. B. Taney, his attorney, complained that the said Thomas on the first day of June in the year eighteen hundred and six took the said negroes...whereupon the said Rinaldo saith he is injured and has damage to the value of three thousand pounds, current money..."
