"Hitler Diaries" - Item #2118
Although the "Hitler Diaries" of Gerd Heidemann and Stern magazine were fakes, there was a transport plane-load of important personal papers of Hitler lost in the final days of the war. The following Typescript Signed was extracted from the book of Hitler's personal pilot, Hans Baur, and translated into English. The book, Mit Machtigen Zwischen Himmel and Erde was published in 1971. Earlier versions were printed in 1958. That description of the flight led to the forgeries by Konrad Kujau and their purchase and publication by Gerd Heidemann.
