Law enforcement is a challenging and rewarding career. Courage, dedication, initiative, and compassion are just a few of the traits necessary for this profession. The most important characteristic, however, is honesty. The public has entrusted itself to the care of a Police Officer. Because of this trust, the public demands that a Police Officer maintains high standards under its ever-watchful eye. When a Police Officer is sworn in, he or she promises to keep that trust by upholding the law and protecting the people of the community.

This is not a career for everyone, nor is it one to be entered into lightly:

Do you feel you have what it takes to wear a badge of trust?
Are you ready to meet the challenge of a highly professional and dedicated Police Department?

If so, then we would like to offer you an opportunity to grow with the Thomasville Police Department.
