From the Desk of
 Executive Director:

The years go by so fast that some times we never have time to do or say the things we want to.

In the work that we do here at Halcyon Home, we see clients come and go and some times never hear from them after they leave the shelter. Some times we get cards or calls from some to say Hi and that they are doing fine and there has been times that we have read about them in the obituaries, which has been very hard on myself and the staff.

Life is too short and sometimes shorter than we think. Everyone needs to count their blessing and give thanks for what they have, and give thanks for their families and friends and the community that they live in. Sometimes we wait until it is to late to say or do what needs to be said or done. We all need to take the time and look around at home, work, or wherever you are and be thankful for what you have and for your loved ones. There are others that are not as fortunate as some, be thankful and remember to thank others for what they do .

At this time I would like to thank the staff, Board members, Volunteers and the community that support Halcyon Home and its mission. I look forward to continuous support as we seek to ease the pain for battered women and their children.

A big Thank You to all!

 Sincerely,
Chris Marsh
