Thomasville's communications, in brief:
As of Summer 2009, Thomasville and Thomas County have transitioned to an all-digital APCO-25 SmartZone trunking system, in cooperation with Dougherty County. Tritional trunk-tracking scanners will no longer operate correctly on this system; although the control channel can be decoded by a tritional trunking scanner, the voice commnication is all digital and requires a digital receiver to decode.
